The other day we had our first big frost of the fall. Man, did it feel good outside early that morning!! The crunch beneath my boots as I went down to the barn to check on the bull, the crisp morning air, the vapor that hung in the air with every breath were just reminders of how great it is to be alive! It brought back memories of when I was a kid and we would have to get up early to take care of all the chores before breakfast and school and how, once it turned chilly, I REALLY didn't want to get out of bed back then. Nowadays, it's a different story. The older I get, the earlier I wake up and start my day. I guess that's just life.
